Documentary

Films that tell longer stories about causes, processes and events.

Laser Light City

“Definitely one of the most gorgeous installations so far”. (Seb Lee)

With seasonal darkness, a faint sea haze extending the viewing experience 20 miles, an historic pier providing the perfect platform, Worthing was treated to this interactive, covid-friendly experience.

I interviewed Seb and filmed the show from all over town to document the show for Worthing Digital. This film is best watched full screen and with headphones on.

New Season Tuscany Olive Oil

We follow the harvesting and processing of small-scale olive oil production in the Tuscan hills. I shot this for a UK importer of New Season oil, a fine and scarce delicacy that is taken for granted by locals, but finds itself on the top shelf of UK supermarkets.

Donato, a local small-holder, and Paulo, manager of the Badia a Coltibuono estate, take us through the process as locals use the community pressing mill and bottling plant.

Shot over three days in November we see this stunning part of the world in the off-season when the tourists have left and the landscape changes colour.

Four Tet live

Squidsoup asked me to film this unique live collaboration at London’s ICA. Kieran Hebden of Four Tet performed his new album Morning/Evening with this in-the-round, immersive experience: Squidsoup’s Ocean of Light project.

Albion in the Community

I made films for Brighton and Hove Albion FC’s charity as part of a Cancer Awareness campaign designed to reach out to the local community in coastal Sussex.
‘The ABC of Cancer’ centred around people living with cancer and their stories of how early detection helped them to recover.

The Great Wall of Vagina

This is the story of ‘Design A Vagina’; a sculpture composed of five panels made up of 200 plaster-cast vulvas, including transgender men and women, ranging from ages 18 to 64 years old. The film follows part of the journey of this extraordinary artwork; recording the social and personal effects it has, talking to the women who contributed and the sculptor who created it.

More filmmaking

Ads and promos

3 seconds to 3 minutes. Ads come in all shapes, with many intentions. These are a few I’ve made.

Pitch, bid, launch

I make films for all types of pitches, bids and launches. The details change but the aim is to always give a succinct, insightful view of a brand, a team, or a solution being offered.

Hybrid Learning

Hybrid learning environments are now common and hooray for that! These vids reflect the fluid continuous learning spaces that organisations are now embracing.
